ATTACK.
1. Keeping possession of the ball is the key of success in attack.
When you team controls a ball then you can score and the opposition can not.
2. Passing is the very important element of an attack.
3. Moving without the ball is another very important element of an attack.
Always try to give the player with the ball more than one option for a pass.
There are different attacking schemas in futsal and you can choose to use one or several of them,
but don't play like robots always use your imagination, spontaneity, skills and creativity.
Most common offensive systems in futsal are 2-2(square) 3-1 and 4-0.
Lets discuss them.
2-2 (square)
"Square" is basic attacking schema.
In 2-2 offensive setup the first line should have fast, skillfull players who can pass the ball. Second line should always be looking for a pass.
This system can work effectively if the team has players capable of winning 1-1 duel.
The advantage of this system is its simplicity and reliability (two players always at the back).
Also it does not require as high fittness level of players as other attacking schemas.
The disadvantage is lack of support from one attacking line to the other.
That can become important in case the opposition presses and covers the line well.
In general it is easier to defend against 2-2 schema.
3-1
(3-1) is a more flexible system than "square".
The advantages over 2x2 system include
- creates more options for passing for a player with the ball
- no definite separation between line (the system easily transforms into defensive rhombus (1-2-1))
- creates more space on the opposition half for the players to run into
- great possibility for rotation
- uses target man
When playing offensive "3-1" the players on the first line should carry out exchanges.
in order to to confuse defenderd and find openings in the center or along the sidelines.
The target man on the second line will be available as a passing option.
When the center corridor is closed by defenders "target" man should move to the sides.
The system is more complex than 2x2. To be used efficiently it requires from player high level
of skills, fittness, discipline, and team work.
